Ethical

Type of Advice

The financial regulator, the FCA strive to ensure confidence and trust in financial advice and this is underpinned by three core principles as detailed below.

To improve professional standards ensuring that you receive advice from an appropriately qualified professional. To this end all financial advice should be given be a person who is suitably qualified.

I have achieved the required level and use the letters *DipPFS after my name. The standard of qualification is the same as a degree and includes specialist areas such as Investment Principles and Risk, Pension and Retirement Planning, Financial Planning Practice and Financial Services and Ethics together with Equity Release, Lifetime mortgages and Personal Protection.

To increase transparency of the costs incurred for the advice and services that you receive and I offer.

Platinum (SRI) Fin Svs. has always adopted this model and only received payment agreed at the outset, no commissions are paid from any third party so all revenue is paid directly by you, whether it is a payment for initial advice and/or onging management of your financial assets, there are no hidden charges.

To help you understand the type of advice that is being provided to you.

The current regulatory framework has identified a range of investment products that will be covered by new rules and these are called "Retail Investment Products" (RIP’s). An adviser may choose to represent a single provider (tied agent) or a group of products and providers (restricted advice) or Independent whole of market advice. RIP’s refer to all investment products including the assets held in  Pensions, ISA’s, Investment Portfolios and any retail product that includes an underlying investment. Platinum (SRI) Fin Svs provide whole of market Independent Advice in most cases, however for small investments such as Junior ISA's (JISA) and regular contribution pensions or an ISA, "Restricted Advice" at a lower cost may be more appropriate.

On occasions you may wish to receive a restricted advice service at a lower cost but still whole of market and this can be discussed at our first meeting and offered at a lower fee.
